The Tiongs stay put

The loud calls of the Hill Myna made me climb up the hill at Zone I early this morning.  Yes, both were out early at their rented nest.  It looked certain to me that the Tiongs have adopted the hole in the tree as their 'nest' for may be a month duration as experience has taught me.  The Tiongs were at their playful mood (see inset).  For about 15 minutes I saw them encircling the tree, perching and then flying off several times only to return shortly to check their nest.  From the high vantage point they made repeated whistles and loud calls as if to awaken the neighbourhood.  Their presence made my Sunday joyful, happy and pleasant.

Pressing on the brakes....
