The 'Giant Crow' belongs to the Family Danaidae, which have mostly yellow-brown and black, white and black or blue black colourings and markings. Thus, they are also known as Tigers or Crows. They are fond of sunny and open places. The Danaidae are extremely tough and resistant to predators. Feeding on poisonous food plants to discourage predators eating them, which may be attracted by their bright colours but soon leave them pretty well alone.
